Washington County Peapod build
This week, we were invited to an open house at the Rockland Apprentice Shop. The event was focused on the Peapod that they are building for Dad. A bit of a fundraiser, but for us, a fun social gathering. We got to see the boat, which is planked up and ready for an interior addition of thwarts and mast steps. They are hoping for an August launch.
David and Eli Berry came down for the event, and we had a marvelous visit with them. I got to see Gideon Sullivan, who has just graduated from Drake University and is looking forward to a nuclear chemistry. Aaron and Kate also attended, and we were able to go out to dinner at 13 Oak (old Cafe Miranda) with them and Dad.
All around a fun gathering with a great little boat, and great to see the builder as he works in the world of creating boats.
