Testing the Process

The Set up
Over the last week I have been exploring and researching how to setup to have a useable place online where I can share and document things that are sometimes rattling around in my head.
I am hopeful that I can first off create a space that I feel comfortable with and then to make additions on some sort of regular basis. The idea of low cost was where I started, seeing that it might just be a fleeting fascination, so a domain was step one. Then I came back to Notion, where I had dabbled a few years ago just as a note taking app, and found that I could easily publish pages from inside my Notion space. This seemed like a great way to go and there were a few sites that spelled out the process of set up so off I went. Not so fast young grasshopper. Things are never as simple as they appear. After a few days of battling with Fruitionsite.com and trying to get that script to talk with my CloudFlare account I was finally able to get things running properly.
It was then time to get a structure for the site built out with some sort of templates. That was another adventure that will be on going and I sure will evolve and change on a whim. But here we go.
Regarding the Photo
I have used it simply as a placeholder and example to see what it looks like and where it appears on my current site. As I make changes this image will allow me to keep track of where images from the individual posts end up being visible.
And yes, Happy Thanksgiving
We hosted the family here yesterday and had a fun time with the crew baking and cooking in preparation of the festivities. Team bread, team pie and team turkey. Love the gather.
