Break time
It has been school winter break and I, in usual fashion have been down with some unpleasant sickness. Nothing like some time to get some fun projects or adventures in to be sick.
So here I am looking at the end of the week having not accomplished anything of interest or consequence but feeling better, healthwise. The week's highlight was attending A's final Nordic races at the State Championship where the weather was unbelievably cold with so much wind. They had to postpone the event one day because of the temps.
She had a great two-day outing, with a 30-place finish on day one in the classic race. A 19-place finish on day two in the skate race for a combined 24-place finish in Class A schools. Really fun to see her finish on such a positive note. Hoping that she does keep on skiing later in life but know that the next few years might not be the most accessible for such a sport.
I am now getting prepped to get back to work next week and have orders and setups that need attention. Such is the life.
